On September 9, step out with the Pace Community as we run for life at the Susan G. Komen Greater NYC: Race for the Cure in Central Park.

Last year, the Greater NYC Race for the Cure raised a record-breaking $6 million and with more than 110 participants, the Pace team once again won for the largest university team. And we want to keep this streak going! So what are you waiting for? Registration costs $40 and you can register online here, by going to www.komennyc.org/race and searching for the “Pace University” team, or at the race.

Participants will receive:
> A Race for the Cure t-shirt
> A one-year subscription to Self or GQ
> Breakfast
> Transportation from the PLV Campus to Central Park

Contact Ellen Mandel at emandel@pace.edu or (845) 634-1781 or Elissa Casa at ec94582p@pace.edu or (845) 337-1778 for more info.

Proceeds will benefit the Greater New York City affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, which supports local hospitals and national foundations for research.

If you need any additional incentive, there’s the Pledge Prize Program, where participants who take the $250 Challenge will be eligible to win prizes including Komen Race for the Cure merchandise, MP3 players, kitchen appliances, camcorders, flat screen televisions, clothing, and more!

Out of town that weekend? Can’t make the race? You can still make a difference. Back by popular demand—Sleep for the Cure! Register for the race and then spend your Sunday morning sleeping in. Participants can also run or walk.

To learn more about Pace’s team, check out their Team of the Week profile on the Race for the Cure website.
